Albert Kiesling (Snow Washington), Photographer Unknown, Archival pigment print, Henry Amistadi, 2016
Mid 20th century photograph (silver gelatin print) of Albert Kiesling at his home on the corner of Wright and Glendale Streets, with his snow-sculpture of George Washington. Kiesling was a long time resident of Easthampton, who worked in the Hampton Co. mills in the early 1900s, and was known around town for the larger than life snow sculptures he made every winter, as well as for his oil paintings of local landscapes and landmarks.
